One of my favorite stories this week comes from Florida. A woman called 911 in a panic. Apparently she locked herself INSIDE her car and was starting to get all woozie and stuff because it was hot and she couldnt get out. According to her, the car wouldnt start and nothing electrical would work!! I give kudos to the emergency operator for being able to handle the dire situation without collapsing from laughter. She managed to guide the poor soul through manually unlocking her door and the woman was able to escape the death trap of her own car!! Crisis averted! Start the blonde jokes now, regardless of the color of her hair.





A totally gentleman in Britain was caught naked at a beauty spot with a flashlight stuck up his rear. told cops he was DEPRESSED. Herbert Boothroyd, 61, said he had wanted to cheer himself up. (UP being the operative word) As two women passed, he continued cheering himself UP and waved hello. He later also exposed himself to two teenage boys as he sat completely naked on a park bench. Mr. Boothroyd was spared jail time however, because the police say he came clean about having the flashlight and stick up his backside, citing depression as he confessed to his transgressions. He got probation for 2 years and was ordered to attend a sex offenders group.

Back we go to Florida for another sign of the dumbing down of society in general. In the town of Umatilla, a 37 year old woman was arrested after being accused of beating her 69 year old boyfriend in the head while he was in the shower. According to the police report, the boyfriend was taking a shower at the Umatilla home when Sandy Jo ripped the shower curtain off the rod and began screaming at him, accusing him of having an affair with another woman. As she was taken off to jail, Sandy Jo said she should have hit him harder and was going to get even with him for cheating AND for having her arrested.

It seems as if there has to be a condition or acronym for everything these days. Apparently its not good enough anymore to be a nymphomaniac, now you have PSAS or as its more commonly known, Persistent Sexual Arousal Syndrome. The much maligned Washington, DC school districts are not doing their own image any good. They just cant help shooting themselves in the foot. Oh wait though, arent guns outlawed in DC? I digress, back to the school system.


The school board came out this week with new tougher guidelines for the school dress code. They REALLY mean it this time too! Are they bringing in school uniforms? Oh no! Hats, see-through clothes and accessories with protruding metal spikes are some of the items that are prohibited in the expanded policies. The new policy does NOT however, allow officials to suspend students who do not comply. Boy, thats a policy with bite huh??


They did also say that school officials should be prepared to provide extra clothes for those that cannot afford new ones. It specifies that it should be gender neutral clothing.


Personally Im thinking if anyone wears clothes with metal spikes or that is see through, they should be REQUIRED to wear gender opposite clothing and be on display. A day of cross dressing just might make them think twice about their outfits in the future. On second thought, with todays teenagers, it might start a trend. Never mind.





With the world economy in the state its in, this story is absolutely to those of us with college age kids. Colleges in the South have always been notoriously competitive. Everyone knows that you dont mess with the SEC when it comes to college football!!


Alabama and Auburn are fighting for the title of most likely to raise tuition this year.


Auburn trustees announced that they spent $500,000 this fiscal year to fly administrators and trustees on their TWO private corporate jets to wherever the heck they flew them to. (Important football games and such Im sure)


Alabama couldnt quite match their feat. They only have one jet (must be because football probation cut into their income the past few years), so they were only able to wasteummmm, spend30,500 in travel and their trustees were rarely on board for any flights.


These are two universities we are trusting to turn out the future fiscally responsible leaders for the coming years. With these stellar examples being set by their bastions of higher education, what could go wrong??





Last but certainly not least, a little advice for the men from a couple of newly completed studies that have recently published their results. (I cant believe our tax money actually pays for some of this) Okay, here we go


First..if youre bald, there is now proof that you arent scoring as often as your counterparts with hair. MEN with a full head of hair are five times more likely to get a date than those who are thinning on top, a study shows.


This study was conducted by posting identical profiles on an online dating site where the only difference was the photo of the male. One photo showed a male with a full head of hair, the other with the same male sans hair. Over the next two months, the profile with hair received 108 replies, while the bald counterpart only had 22 responses. An expert in such things has suggested that it might be attributed to the fact that hair is associated in nature and history with virility. (think Samson in the Bible) Take it with a grain of salt (or a wig)


Study #2 pertains to a sense of humor. Having trouble getting the ladies to fall into your bed? Try cracking a few jokes!! I kid you not!!! (nudge, nudgeget it??).


It has been shown and allegedly proven (at least a time or two) that funny men laugh ladies into bed because theyre seen as more intelligent. A study has found that a sense of humor makes men seem more intelligent, trustworthy, and a better bet for a relationship. Imagine that!


Personal ads were drawn up for the study and women were asked to rate them and choose the men they would most likely answer or want to date. The men that showed a sense of humor in their ads were rated as more intelligent, despite the fact that the ads contained no clues as to their IQ. They were also seen as more honest and better material for a relationship and for friendship.


So, in closingI conclude that all is not lost for anyone that might be starting to thin on top or be completely bald. The answer is obvious! If youre not getting laid, rent some 3 Stooges videos and brush up on your yuck (as in HA, HA) factor. (as opposed to an actual yuck, stalkerish or unfaithful qualities of course, that might get you arrested or beaten up by your girlfriend ..reference story #1) Im thinking that sense of humor would trump the bald study thingy hands down. The remaining 165 individuals counted as having Vitamin D deficiency represent 40% of those with the condition. The authors' other observations will be unsurprising to long-time Political Calculations readers.

Therefore by their fruits you will know them. - Matthew 7:20 A disciple was a general term meaning, a learner, or a pupil of some teacher. The Disciples of Yahshua, were to proclaim the Gospel [the good news] of the Kingdom of YAHWEH, and to feed MY sheep (which means teaching the Divine knowledge needed to develop in grace, spiritual knowledge, and GODLY character).
It has been suggested, that these dozen called out disciples of Yahshua had more impact on world history then any other group of twelve men who have ever lived. Yahshua did not choose men from the holier than thou crowd, and they were not high society types. They were common working men. From tentmaker to fisherman, Yahshua called out men that generally were not at all refined, cultured or educated. They were rough men living rough lives, they would use profanity, smelled of fish and were dirty. Another Disciple was a tax collector, not necessarily the most popular man in town. They are listed in Matthew 10:1-4; Mark 3:13-19; Luke 6:12-16.
A point often missed is that YAHWEH, always as a principal, used plain people to carry out important spiritual missions, and Yahshua did the same. Todays social snobbishness would find these ordinary men, who were laborers for a living, and then took up the work of preaching a Great Message, unacceptable as ministers. Not to mention inviting them into your home and listening to their spiritual concepts, and then wanting to join up with them. Yet they have the highest positions in the church. The lesson is, YAHWEH judges the heart not outside appearances.
When the righteous hearts of the Disciples were empowered by the Holy Spirit on Pentecost, these rough-hewn Galileans, were filled with new boldness and understanding, (Act.ch.2). Transformed and powered by the Holy Spirit, the Disciples became Apostles, which means sent forth one chosen and sent with a special commission as an authorized representative of the sender. They preached with power and boldness, performing healings and miracles. Their appeal for the faith was irresistible, and their zeal for the Gospel was powerful, inspiring thousands to convert.
Ambassadors of the Kingdom is what the true Believers are considered to be (2Cor.5:20). The prime directive of Ambassadorship: Love your GOD, and love your neighbor. And, . . . forgive them for they know not what they do . . ., is the motto (Luk.23:34).
To be an Ambassador of the Kingdom means you are a Friend of the Kingdom, not a servant to it. The Believers are considered Friends because of the Divine Knowledge revealed to them, (Jno.15:15).
The Believers know Satan is the target of this spiritual war not our neighbor, (Eph.6:12). Satan is the god of this world, and the Believers in our CREATOR are living in their native lands but as aliens.
The Believers are in this world, but not of this world. The Believers are citizens of the Heavenly Kingdom of YAHWEH (Phi.3:20), fellow citizens with the Old Testament Saints (Eph.2:19) under the authority of the Messiah. They follow local customs in clothing, food, and other aspects of life but as citizens of the Heavenly Kingdom, they are only passing their days on Earth.
Knowin is the easy part! This is not a church of potted plants. The citizens are Ambassadors of the Kingdom and represent their Government. This is not a passive role. It is a pro-active role. They live by example and share the spiritual truths that they have learned, using clear and simple language not political style double-talk (Mat.5:37).
They are present in the flesh but do not live according to the flesh. They obey mans laws but go beyond that and follow the Heavenly Laws in their own lives. They are treated with outrageous disrespect but behave respectfully and bless those in return. They are dishonored and their names blackened but they gain glory through dishonor, and their names are cleared in the Heavenly Book of Life.
The Mystery Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed; -1 Corinthians 15:51 As the scripture says: Watch . . . and pray to be counted worthy to escape . . ., Luke 21:36. First the dead in Christ, then the living in Christ will be called up to meet Him in the air, 1Thessalonians 4:16-17. It may be interesting to note that some humans will never experience death. This remarkable supernatural event, commonly called the by todays Christians, comes from the Latin word rapere, which means to snatch away or to be caught up. It is an excellent word describing what the Bible says will happen.
The first rapture-event described in the Bible is when Enoch was caught up to Heaven before the flood (Gen.5:24). Another rapture happened with Elijah described in 2Kings 2:17, Then it happened, as they continued on and talked, that suddenly a chariot of fire appeared with horses of fire, and separated the two of them; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven. This belief of a rapture-event is also what numerous documents from the early church leaders (first 300 years) revealed.
The Rapture is the blessed hope, (Tit.2:13). It is the comforting hope, (1The.4:18). And it is the purifying hope, (1Jno.3:3). During this Age of Grace, the Messiah is calling out disciples to help Him rule the earth during His Millennium reign. These called-out ones are known as the Bride of the Messiah or Christ. The true Believers of the Messiah are called three things in the New Testament: The Church, in Acts 2:47. The Body of Christ, in 1Corinthians 12:13. And, the Bride, in John 3:29. It refers to a great mystery told as an allegory of a symbolic union of husband and wife in Ephesians 5:25-32. An allegory, is a story that symbolically represents another meaning other than what is apparently stated. Yahshua used this teaching technique in His parables, to teach complex Heavenly lessons by comparing them to simple everyday objects.
(Just for the record, and to avoid confusion, all those humans who did not know the Messiah, or were not chosen by the Him, or chose not commit themselves to the higher Covenants, will sleep until the time of the final Great White Throne Judgment of YAHWEH, after the earthly 1,000 year millennial rule of the Messiah. The question every Believer ponders is, how many people will be called-out by Yahshua? Some say tens of millions of people will be called, and the puritans would say the numbers are much smaller.
Some say the term Christian has already been ruined by its many pretenders, maybe so, but then every religion has its pretenders and hucksters. In surveys taken in the United States and Canada almost 80% of the people responded saying they are Christian. But when asked the following: Do you believe the Bible to be the inspired word of GOD? Do you study the Bible? Do you believe in creation? Do you believe in the virgin birth of Jesus Christ? Do you believe in His blood atonement for sin? Then the numbers drop to about 13% of those claiming to be believing Christians.
A hint can be found in Yahshuas messages to the seven churches in Revelation ch.2-3. Out of the seven churches only one was commended by Him. There is one revealing passage in Revelation 3:15-16 I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth. In simpler terms just going through the motions is not enough. (For more info see Ego Religion.)
Throughout the ages, there are always a lot of debate and doctrine among the Christian churches on how to get to Heaven. Today, surveys generally show that over 85% of Americans think they will go to Heaven, but only about 40% think their neighbor will get in. Why does it seem like the standard is always higher for those who live next door?
It is a thorny issue, and since I am not compiling the list, we will leave that debate to others . . ..
YAHWEH knows your heart and HE knows who the Believers are. When Elijah went out into the desert to escape persecution and said, I am alone. YAHWEH answered, No, I have 7,000 Believers here (1Kgs.19:18). When the Holy Spirit came upon the assembly on Pentecost described in Acts ch.2, HE knew exactly how many Believers there were. While Paul was teaching at the city of Corinth, he was afraid and thought it was hopeless, but he was told there were Believers there and he should continue his work (Act.18:10).
The Age of Grace closes when the hinderer (or the intolerant ones) is removed (2Ths.2:7). The term hinderer (some Bibles use the word restrainer, Jno.14:8), is a curious word used to describe the Holy Spirit that dwells within the true Believers of Yahshua. It can be any human being from, any domination, any nation, any ethnic origin, male or female, on the planet Earth. These are the intolerant ones fighting for freedom and they are the only power that is holding back or hindering the dark forces of evil.
When the hinderer is removed, then the world will propel itself into a period of seven years of tribulation, climaxing when the Conquering Messiah appears to save humanity. It will be Satans last attempt at establishing his New-World-Order. It will begin under the banner of peace and reform, complete with real convincing spiritual psycho-babble, all leading to a fools paradise and certain destruction. The peace will not last long, and woe to them that are weak, this society will turn on itself and many people will die during these years. This is not the talk of weird conspiracy nuts, shades of this story are in almost every culture.
Blessed are those who believe with out seeing, (Jon.20:29,1Pet.2:9). People have been seeking His return for many years, but 2Peter 3:9 says the Messiah is not slack concerning his promises. The Age of Grace remains open so as many Believers as possible may be included in His family.
The Rapture: Yahshuas lesson of the rapture is told in the parable of the fishermen recorded in John 21: 5-12. As the fishermen pulled in their nets full of fish, so will it be with the called-out ones, caught up out of their earthly world. They will be in the middle of their daily routines, then all of a sudden caught up in the spiritual net (you have only a moment to stop what you are doing and prepare). It is called the translation of the body into spirit (1Cor.15:51-53). Then taken to YAHWEHS Heaven, and once there no one will drop out of Heaven . . . the net was not broken.
Bible Believers are accustomed to reading and studying the fantastic supernatural stories which can only be carried out by a higher intelligence. There is no Biblical reason why this event will not take place. One can only imagine how the mechanics of such an event would be organized.
The records kept by the Angels record humanities history on an individual basis, people must be selected for translation, the location of the chosen humans for translation must be recorded, the temporary collection center above the Earth after translation must be determined, and then transportation with Yahshua to YAHWEHS Heaven. It takes more then say, twitching a nose to get these things done. The ground rules and executive orders are drawn up in the Great White Throne Room, and there will be a lot to do for the community of Angels who carry out these orders, under the supervision of Yahshua.
The second question every Believer ponders is, when will the rapture happen? The Millennium is a term meaning and it refers to the thousand year reign of the Messiah in connection with His return to Earth. The belief is that the Messiah will call His believers home before He returns to earth as the Conquering Messiah, but many theologians cannot even decide on the Millennium rule itself. Revelation ch.20 clearly referrers to the Messiahs thousand year rule six times, and most Jews and Christians agree the Messiahs rule will be an age of blessedness on the Earth. But because of anti-Semitism, some Christians ignore Scriptures and do not teach the Millennium-rule theory because that is what the Jews believe; they say the Millennium is the present church age a period of indefinite length. Still others regard the Millennium as a way of referring to the ages of eternity.

The study included 26 men, aged 41 to 72 years, diagnosed with prostate cancer and scheduled for radical prostatectomy. Patients consumed four capsules of Polyphenon E until the day before surgery. According to Cardelli, the dosage was equivalent to about 12 cups of normally brewed green tea. The duration of the study for 25 of the 26 patients ranged from 12 days to 73 days, with a median time of 34.5 days.
Findings showed a significant reduction in serum levels of HGF, VEGF and PSA after treatment, with some patients demonstrating reductions in levels of greater than 30 percent, according to the researchers.
Alluding to the fact that the trials were not randomized, William G. Nelson, V., M.D., Ph.D., professor of oncology, urology and pharmacology at the Johns Hopkins Kimmel Cancer Center in Baltimore, MD, remarked, this trial is provocative enough to consider a more substantial randomized trial. Nelson is also a senior editor for Cancer Prevention Research.
The same researchers are collaborating in a study being performed at Columbia University (New York, NY) to study the effects of polyphenols on breast cancer patients.
There is reasonably good evidence that many cancers are preventable, and our studies using plant-derived substances support the idea that plant compounds found in a healthy diet can play a role in preventing cancer development and progression, Cardelli said.

So clearly they don't make very much money. They must not have many doctors then... and yet they have the second highest doctor-to-patient ratio in the world! People receive excellent medical care, and don't have to wait in lines in institutional traffic jams. But America hates Cuba, right? So let's just ignore them and hope they go away.

Maca: Perus Natural Viagra
The South American country of Peru is home to numerous beneficial plants, including Peruvian maca root, a legendary sex-enhancing root passed down from the Inca. Id heard about Peruvian maca herb and extract for years. Peruvian maca root has been dubbed Peruvian ginseng, even though it bears no relation to ginseng. What is Maca

During the height of the Incan empire, legend has it that Incan warriors would consume maca before entering into battle. This would make them fiercely strong. Thus as far back as 500 years ago, macas reputation for enhancing strength, libido and fertility was already well established in Peru.

What natural ingredients in maca promote its reputed sex-enhancing effects? In-depth analysis of maca conducted in 1998 by Dr. Qun Yi Zheng and his colleagues at PureWorld Botanicals shows that maca contains about 10 percent protein, almost 60 percent carbohydrate, and an assortment of fatty acids. These ingredients are common and nothing special. But the investigators also discovered two groups of novel compounds, the macamides and the macaenes. These agents are believed to be directly responsible for macas sex-boosting powers.
To test this idea, researchers conducted a series of controlled animal experiments, the results of which were published in the April 2000 issue of the medical journal Urology. Rodents fed MacaPure extract, which contains a concentration of macamides and macaenes, demonstrated greatly increased energy and stamina. Maca Use in Peru
In Peru, maca is a food. At the Third Annual Maca Festival in Churin, Peru, we sampled numerous products made with the sex-enhancing root. Peruvians make cookies, cakes, hot porridge, chips and blender drinks with maca root, which has a pleasant flavor similar to graham flour.
At several booths, women were making maca blender drinks. Maca roots soaked in jars of water, and the tables were laden with all the ingredients for a drink. Doctors Comment on Maca
Users arent the only ones making comments about maca. The root and its extracts are used in medical practice in Peru. In the November 1988 Townsend Letter for Doctors, physicians were quoted regarding the therapeutic and salutary uses of maca. Doctor Hugo Malaspina, M.D., a cardiologist practicing complementary medicine in Lima, Peru, has been using maca in his practice for 10 years.
Malaspina first found out about maca through a group of sexually active older men who were taking the herb with good results. One of this group started taking maca and found he was able to perform satisfactorily in a sexual relationship with a lady friend. Soon everyone in the group began drinking the powdered maca as a beverage and enjoying the boost that the root was giving their hormonal functions. I have several of these men as patients, and their improvement prompted me to find out more about maca and begin recommending it to my other patients.
Another Peruvian physician, Doctor Aguila Calderon, M.D., is the former dean of the Faculty of Human Medicine at the National University of Federico Villarreal in Lima. Is There Any Downside?

A few weeks ago I was sitting with some friends watching television at their house. They had the Fox News Channel on watching Nancy Grace. Now for those of you who dont know, I have an aversion to watching large amounts of news. My theory is that 90% of all news is depressing. I generally remark that I dont want to make my Prozac work that hard. However, watching Nancy Grace confirmed my belief that the news is depressing.
On this occasion, for as much as I was watching it, Nancy was talking about people who had gone to prison for killing a child. While we were discussing what we were seeing, I related the story of someone I had heard about who went to prison for a crime that supposedly happened 15 years prior to the trial. There was no physical evidence presented by the prosecution. All they had was a victim who cried on the stand.
The friends I was sitting with shocked me when one of them made the comment that there was a special place in hell for people like that. The other one drove the shock nail in further when she said that it would be just like people like that to wait until just that last minute to confess their sins and get into heaven.
Now I dont shock easily. After 38 years on this earth, Ive somehow managed to lose the ability to be shocked by what others do or say. But this somehow managed to find a little of that ability in me. The friends I was with are lifelong Christians. We had all been members of the Lutheran church when I was growing up.
This conversation stayed in my head for a long time. I was thinking about it one day on the way to work when I saw something that illustrated the point perfectly. At one particular point on my trip I have to get on the highway to complete my journey. There in the road ahead of me was a split. The road was 3 lanes of traffic heading toward the split. Two lanes curving off to the left headed to a highway going south. The other lanes went to the right and off to the west. As I approached, I saw cars from the center lane merge over to the right just before the split so that they could go west.
This got me thinking about the conversation again. Im sure the cars that have been sitting in the right lane were not happy with the cars that dove in at the last minute. No doubt there was a few fists raised, words spoken, jesters made, and horns honked. But really isnt that road an example of what its like on the spiritual plane. A popular song once touted that “life is a highway” and people spend a lifetime on one of the three roads. They are firmly committed to the right or left with a few “undecided” that could go either way. Sometimes a car may cross over to the far right or left. Or stay in the middle. Then as they get closer to the ultimate decision, some either stay in the middle and join the group on the left or veer over to the right and take the single road.
Many people know the parable of the Prodigal Son. But they usually end the story after the youngest son comes home to much rejoicing. We often fail to read the rest of the story the Lord told. In Luke 15: 11-32, Jesus tells us that the older brother came home from the fields not know his brother had returned and wanted to know what was the cause for celebration. The servants told him his brother returned and his father had killed the fatted calf. Anger by what he heard, the oldest brother refused to go in to the celebration. His father later came out and begged him to join in the festivities. He refused siting the younger brothers squandering of his inheritance on wild living and how he had served the father faithfully for many years. The brother than accused his father of being unfair by pointing out he had killed the fatted calf and yet had never given him a small goat to celebrate with his friends. The father replied saying, “My son, you are always with me, and everything I have is yours. But we had to celebrate and be glad, because this brother of yours was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.”
The Bible says that they angels of heaven rejoice of one sinner who finds the salvation and in 99 faithful who make it to heaven. With this in mind, how should we react to that car on lifes highway that cuts in front of us to go to the right. Should we be angry they waited until the last minute to find Jesus after we have driven in the right lane all our lives? Or should we be glad they found a place in the single lane road that was a perfect fit for them? Should we not also be willing to leave a few car lengths open to allow others to merge in with our traffic flow. After all, there will be no traffic jam at our destination. How many of us, instead, hug the bumper of the car in front of us to keep people from cutting in front. Leaving them no choice but to head off to the left on the 2 lane road?
A safe driving campaign once encouraged drivers to share the road. In the same way, how much more should we as Christians share the road with those who are trying to find the right road? Just think the more people that find the right road, the more people that will be able to enjoy heavens tailgate party.
